Nollywood actress and movie producer Mary Remmy Njoku has sparked a heated debate online following her recent commentary regarding the true meaning of family ties.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, the filmaker opined that a biological relative is not necessarily a true family member.

According to Mary Remmy, a blood connection alone is insufficient to define a family bond. She asserted that a relative only transitions into a family member when that biological tie is reinforced by love, loyalty, honesty, consistent presence, and a genuine desire to see one happy and successful.
