The Plateau State Police Command has arrested one Adam Mohammed for allegedly r@ping a 23-year-old woman in her grandmother’s presence in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Ayodeji Faniyan disclosed this while parading suspects arrested for various crimes at the Command Headquarters in Jos on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Speaking during the press briefing, the CP said the victim and her grandmother were working on their farm when the suspect attacked them.

The complainant alleged that the suspect attacked them with a stick and r@ped her granddaughter. 

“On 12/08/2026 at about 07:00am, we received a report that on the same date while working on their farm with her 23 years old granddaughter, one Adam Mohammed, male, 22 years of Mangor, Bokkos LGA armed with a stick, attacked them and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her granddaughter,” he said.

“Upon receipt of the report, the suspect was immediately arrested, while the victim was taken to a hospital for medical checkup. 

“The suspect is still in our custody, as investigation is being intensified and the case will be charged to Court for prosecution.”
