The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rantan ward, Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State,  Alhaji Garba Buba, was on Sunday, August 30, shot de@d by suspected k!dnappers who reportedly invaded the Rantan community.

According to reports, the assailants opened fire on residents, killing another resident, Sulaiman Zunduma.

A resident, Hamza Isah Rantan, confirmed the attack, said that Buba was shot during the attack and later d!ed in hospital where he was rushed to for medical attention.The resident added that one Suleiman Zundum d!ed instantly after he was fatally shot by the assailants.

The current attack comes hours after the rescue of the Sarkin Noman of Kano State, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa, who was abducted by gunmen in the Chiromawa community in Garun Malam Local Government last Saturday,  Five persons were said to have been shot and injured during the abduction.
