The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) earlier today, announced the arrest self-styled luxury goods dealer and social media influencer, Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as “KC Luxury,” over his alleged role as the arrowhead of a multibillion-Naira cocaine trafficking syndicate.
NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Marwa (retd), disclosed on Tuesday that Michael was intercepted on the night of August 13, 2026, at the boarding gate of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. The suspect was allegedly attempting to board a business-class flight to Paris when operatives detained him. At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of €7,750, £2,800, and ₦100,000 in cash, alongside expensive jewellery.
A follow-up raid on his luxury apartment in Banana Island, Ikoyi, led to the recovery of several exotic vehicles. According to Marwa, the broader crackdown on the syndicate has resulted in the seizure of 184.50 kilogrammes of cocaine, with an estimated street value of ₦39 billion, alongside foreign currencies and other luxury assets.
Prior to his arrest, Michael was widely known for flaunting an opulent lifestyle online. Photos and videos of the influencer showcasing high-end vehicles, Hermès Birkin bags, and designer jewellery have since flooded social media platforms, drawing intense public scrutiny following the agency’s announcement.
