A suspected phone snatcher has been apprehended at the Federal University of Education Pankshin, Plateau State.

The suspect, identified as Musa Jibril from Bokkos, was nabbed on Tuesday, September 16, 2026 following intelligence reports concerning alleged phone-snatching activities.

It was gathered that the suspect was reportedly tracked by security personnel and apprehended while carrying out an operation on campus. 

According to preliminary information, the suspect also allegedly impersonated a military officer.

During questioning, he reportedly admitted to involvement in phone-snatching incidents on campus.

Students and members of the campus community are urged to remain alert, safeguard their valuables, and cooperate with security personnel as efforts continue to ensure a safe and secure campus environment.
