A Nigerian man, Onyebuchi Lawrence Kalu, has praised his wife for her unwavering love and support when he was poor, living in one room, and earning N20k as a teacher, noting that she had chances to leave him for richer men. 

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, Kalu revealed that she fed and bought things for him while they dated. 

According to him, his wife drank garri so much during her first pregnancy that he feared their child would be needing glasses after birth yet she never resented nor looked down on him.
