The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two men over the alleged s3xual assault of three minor girls in Darazo Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesperson for the command, SP Nafiu Habib, who disclosed this during a press briefing at the Police Headquarters on Thursday, September 24, 2026 said the suspects lured the minors, all siblings, to an uncompleted building where they s3xually assaulted them. 

Habib said the suspects, identified as Abubakar Muhammad Jatau, 20, and Umar, 18, were arrested following a report by the father of the victims.

The duo was among suspects paraded during the press briefing. 

“A father reported that his three minor daughters were lured to an uncompleted building in Lanzai District and s3xually assaulted. Two suspects, Abubakar Muhammad Jatau ‘M’ 20yrs and Umar ‘M’ 18yrs, were arrested. Victims were taken to General Hospital Darazo and medically examined,” the statement read.
